Are you feeling a little lost when it comes to your healthcare paperwork?!
Health insurance card, treatment forms, agreed-upon rates, Social Security, supplemental health insurance, AMELI… All these terms may seem complex, and understanding them fully is essential for optimal health coverage.
Grasse Campus and HEYME explain the key concepts below:
HEALTH CARE COVERAGE – How Does It Work?
In France, medical expense reimbursement is divided into two tiers:
1. The mandatory portion, covered by Social Security. It provides reimbursement for part or all of your healthcare costs based on the agreed-upon rates.
2. The remaining portion, also known as the copayment (TM), is your responsibility, or is covered by your supplemental health insurance.
