HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE-LEVEL COURSES
College orientation is a crucial milestone in students’ lives that can sometimes cause a great deal of anxiety.
It begins in 9th grade and continues throughout one’s life. The French educational system offers a wide variety of programs that facilitate transitions and provide clear pathways. The baccalaureate is the first university-level degree; it grants access to higher education.
The Grasse region has five high schools that prepare students for the various baccalaureate exams, as redefined by Decree No. 2018-614 of July 16, 2018.
The high school offers three types of programs
– A broad foundation of shared humanistic and scientific knowledge, open to the challenges of the future.
– Specialized subjects chosen by the student, with a greater focus placed on them between the 11th and 12th grades (three subjects in the 11th grade, then two in the 12th grade selected from among the three taken in the 11th grade).
– Career guidance support provided throughout high school to help students prepare for their educational paths and, ultimately, entry into higher education.
