EDHEC BUSINESS SCHOOL
In 2017, EDHEC, in partnership with HEC Montréal, developed an innovative seminar for participants in the Advanced Management Program.
This Learning Expedition aimed to share the expertise of the region’s key economic players with international participants.
In Grasse, the group of learners gained a better understanding of how the region’s traditional craftsmanship has driven the economic revival of the fine perfume industry.
EDHEC has always viewed its mission to serve businesses as an integral part of its commitment to regional development and the promotion of the region’s strengths.
The M.Sc. in Aromatics & Fragrances Supply Chain Management, developed since 2018 within the UCA COMUE, aligns with this objective.
Furthermore, we also hope that the region will support our collaboration with local manufacturers and luxury perfumers based in the area, as well as the organization of conferences, seminars, and conventions dedicated
to the topics covered in the master’s program (logistics, communication, etc.) and the hosting of interns from the program.
In the spring of 2019, students in the M.Sc. in Marketing Management program at EDHEC also explored the engineering processes in Grasse and the unique marketing aspects of perfumes and fragrances through a study tour, which was designed to immerse them for four days in this sector of excellence, a flagship of French expertise on the international stage.
A WORD FROM THE SCHOOL
French Business School
Starting with a bold ambition—to be a school that is valuable and adds value for companies—EDHEC is now seeking to accelerate its internationalization, expand its program offerings, and disseminate even more widely the results of its applied research.
– This vision has quickly been put into practice through many structural initiatives: the expansion of our budgetary resources, the strengthening of our faculty through the recruitment of top-tier talent from around the world, an increase in student enrollment, new educational programs and teaching innovations, the launch of a new brand platform, etc.
– EDHEC has reaped the rewards of this with enhanced international standing, new academic partnerships (e.g., with Stanford and Boston University), and the successful launch of endowed chairs and high-quality research hubs, such as the EDHEC Infrastructure Institute in Singapore.
Today, EDHEC continues to grow at the ambitious pace set out in its strategic plan. This demonstrates the relevance of our model and our strategic choices. It also confirms that the “EDHEC for Business 2020” goal is more than ever within our reach: securing our place among the top European business schools and being recognized for our impact on business. Indeed, EDHEC views its mission to serve companies as part of its commitment to the development of the region and the promotion of its assets. It is with this in mind that EDHEC seeks to contribute to the dissemination of expertise related to perfumes in the Pays de Grasse.
