[Coronavirus Information]
In light of the evolving public health situation across the country and following discussions with the Conference of University Presidents, the Conference of Grandes Écoles, and the Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools, #JeanMichelBlanquer and #FrédériqueVidal have decided to revise the schedule and organizational arrangements for the #nationalentranceexams scheduled for spring 2020, with the priorities of protecting students’ health and ensuring equal treatment for all applicants.
National exams and competitive exams that could not be held or that are scheduled to take place in the coming weeks will be rescheduled for a later date, no earlier than the very end of May.
In particular, on an exceptional basis for the year 2020 and following consultation with educational institutions, the written exams for the #concourspostbac —which grant admission to selective undergraduate programs—will be replaced by a review of applicants’ academic records as part of the national pre-enrollment process via the #Parcoursup platform.
The written exams for other national entrance exams originally scheduled for April and May of this year have been postponed and will be rescheduled beginning in late May. This applies to both entrance exams for the grandes écoles and those administered by universities for admission to the second year of medical school.
Each registered candidate will be personally notified of the new schedule and the arrangements for reorganizing the competitive examination as it applies to them. The relevant ministries will provide specific information to teachers at preparatory schools for the grandes écoles so that they can best prepare their students under the current circumstances.
In addition, a dedicated information page will be posted as soon as possible on the website of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation to allow anyone interested to learn about the new schedule and, if applicable, the new procedures for organizing national competitive exams and examinations.
