PRAME Studies: a regional scholarship to support your international mobility
Are you a student in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and planning to study abroad during the 2024-2025 academic year? The South Region offers financial assistance through the PRAME Études program (Regional Student Mobility Assistance Projects) to help you make your international project a reality.
Who is this assistance intended for?
The PRAME scholarship is intended for students who meet all of the following criteria:
- Be under 30 years of age on December 31, 2024,
- Be a tax resident in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region,
- Be enrolled in initial training or a work-study program at a higher education institution located in the South region and partnered with the Region.
- Enroll in a program leading to a state-recognized degree, a state-recognized diploma, a DUETI (University Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Innovation), or a qualification listed in the RNCP (National Register of Professional Certifications).
- Plan for international study mobility of at least 12 weeks (up to a maximum of two semesters) between September 2024 and December 2025.
- Be a citizen of a country other than the one in which the mobility will take place.
- Provide proof of a family quotient of €26,000 or less according to the 2024 tax notice (2023 income).
Who is not eligible for PRAME?
Certain situations automatically exclude access to this assistance:
- If you are already receiving the PRAME grant for an internship during the same academic year,
- If you are participating in the Erasmus+ program,
- If you are undertaking your mobility program at a foreign campus affiliated with your institution in the South region,
- If you receive another grant for the same international mobility.

The regional grant amounts to €125 per full week (7 consecutive days, including weekends), up to a maximum of €2,500 per year per student.
Two additional lump-sum grants may also be awarded:
- €200 for students who have to pay visa fees,
- €400 for students with disabilities.
All overseas destinations are eligible, with the exception of:
- From France (mainland and overseas territories),
- Member countries of the European Union,
- The principalities of Andorra and Monaco.
Applications must be submitted online via the dedicated platform of the South Region. Applications must be submitted no later than 15 days before the start date of the mobility program.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Request an authentication code from your institution to access the online form.
- Submit your complete application electronically.
- After validation by your institution, the Region will verify the compliance of your application.
- Once you arrive at your destination, submit the arrival form to receive an 80% deposit.
- The balance (20%) is paid at the end of your stay, after submitting the end-of-mobility form within one month.
All supporting documents must be submitted directly in the online file. Any changes or additions must be made via the secure messaging system integrated into the platform.
