
The Fête de la Science is a must-attend national event celebrating science for everyone!
Scientists, cultural leaders, teachers, corporate employees, members of organizations, museum professionals, librarians, representatives from Fab Labs and the digital sector, and amateur groups offer workshops, meet-and-greets, and tours to help you discover science in a whole new way.
In the museums of Grasse, the Festival of Science will take place on October 10 and 11, 2020.
This year’s national theme is: “What is the relationship between humans and nature?” and the regional themes and topics are: Science and Climate Change; iNova’Science; Women in Science.
The MIP highlights women in science, and the JMIP focuses on local biodiversity.
At the International Perfume Museum
Saturday, October 10, at 3:00 p.m., free family tour and workshop (reservation required).
Admission: Admission fee for those over 18.
Researchers, chemists, stylists, perfumers, aroma specialists… Which women have advanced the world of perfumery?
A tour focusing on influential figures in perfumery and a hands-on workshop to discover the professions in the formulation lab (creating a fragrance).
At the Gardens of the International Perfume Museum
Sunday, October 11, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., free lecture (reservation required).
Admission: standard admission fee for those 18 and older.
Meet Guillaume Labeyrie, a member of CEN PACA (Conservatoire d’Espaces Naturels de Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur), photographer, and amateur naturalist.
The Grasse Pre-Alps: a biodiversity hotspot.
The Grasse Pre-Alps are home to a particularly diverse array of flora and fauna, and some of the most spectacular species will be featured during this event.
