Grasse Campus is calling for submissions from its students for a photography exhibition dedicated to the Pays de Grasse region.

In 2026, photography will celebrate its 200th anniversary. As part of this anniversary year, the Ministry of Culture is organizing a major national celebration dedicated to photography, showcasing historical and contemporary photographic works, collections, and publications, from September 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027.

To mark this occasion, Grasse Campus would like to showcase its students’ creativity through a group exhibition that will take place at the Palais Grasse Campus starting December 16, 2026.

A Student's Perspective on the Grasse Region

This exhibition will focus on the territory of the Pays de Grasse Urban Community and its 23 municipalities.

Students are invited to offer their own photographic perspective on this region, highlighting in particular:
– landscapes;
– cultural heritage;
– architectural features;
– the region’s identities and distinctive characteristics.

The goal is to help people discover or rediscover the Grasse region through the eyes, sensibilities, and creativity of the students at Grasse Campus.

Who can participate?

The call for entries is open exclusively to students at the Grasse Campus, whether they practice photography as amateurs or professionals.

Each candidate may submit between 1 and 4 photographs.

Photographs may be submitted:
– in color or black and white;
– in JPEG or PNG format;
– with sufficient resolution for printing, with a recommended minimum of 300 dpi.

Photomontages and images generated by artificial intelligence are not permitted.

Each photograph must be accompanied by a title, a brief description, and information about the photographer.

How will the photographs be selected?

Submissions will be evaluated based on several criteria:
– adherence to the theme;
– artistic and technical quality;
– originality of the approach;
– the relevance of the submission to the Bicentennial of Photography.

The selected photographs will be featured in a group exhibition held at the Palais Grasse Campus.

Works printed by Grasse Campus

To ensure visual consistency throughout the exhibition, Grasse Campus will handle the printing of the selected works. Selected candidates must provide high-resolution digital files.

Grasse Campus may make technical adjustments to the files, such as minor cropping or format adjustments, while ensuring that the integrity of the works is preserved.

Participants' rights are protected

By participating in the call for submissions, students certify that they are the authors of the submitted photographs and that they have obtained the necessary permissions, particularly when recognizable individuals appear in the images.

Entrants grant Grasse Campus a free, non-exclusive license to display their works and use photographs for promotional purposes related to the exhibition, including posters, social media, the website, and the press.

This authorization is limited to the promotion and publicity of the exhibition for noncommercial purposes. The authors retain all of their copyrights.
