While the Grasse region is renowned for its expertise in perfumes and flavors, it also offers many other career paths.
As a result, the Chemistry, Flavors & Fragrances, and Business & Management programs have been expanded, while four new tracks have been added: Engineering, Tourism, Arts & Humanities, and Sports.
Since its founding in 2018, GRASSE CAMPUS has introduced 22 new programs leading to state-recognized diplomas, certified credentials, or school-awarded diplomas.
The Directorate for the Development of Higher Education and Research, which was responsible for bringing 12 new institutions to the region, is still working to round out the academic programs for the benefit of students.
THE LMD SYSTEM
The three-cycle structure of higher education is common to most countries in the European Union.
In France, the Bachelor’s-Master’s-Doctorate (LMD) system has helped standardize academic programs and facilitate the recognition of degrees across countries. It promotes student mobility in Europe and around the world.
Earning an LMD degree is based on the number of semesters of study completed since entering higher education. Each semester earns 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits, which can be accumulated and transferred from one country to another.
CERTIFIED SECURITIES
A certified credential listed in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP) allows the holder to demonstrate the skills, abilities, and knowledge necessary to practice a trade or perform a job corresponding to a professional field. The level of training achieved is recognized by the government. The training is career-oriented and therefore highly valued by employers; it leads to a high rate of employability.
Finally, the program is open to students through the VAE (Validation of Prior Learning) process, apprenticeships, and professional training contracts. There are five levels of certification, ranging from the CAP level to the Master’s level. The list below provides information on the skill levels of certification holders.
