The Pays de Grasse Urban Community (CAPG) has launched an innovative and ambitious initiative to promote carpooling for commutes to work or school. The goal is twofold: to increase the purchasing power of residents and to encourage them to adopt sustainable modes of transportation.

Since September 1, 2020, the CAPG has been subsidizing carpool trips through the BlaBlaCar Daily app, the French leader in the sector. This initiative covers the entire Pays de Grasse region. Thanks to this program, passengers enjoy free rides, regardless of the distance traveled. Drivers, on the other hand, can earn up to €120 per month by carpooling regularly. By cutting transportation costs in half or by a third, depending on the number of passengers, this solution significantly reduces car-related expenses.

For students at the Grasse Campus, this initiative offers a valuable opportunity: to get around in an economical and eco-friendly way while staying within your budget. Carpooling is therefore a convenient and cost-effective way to get to your classes or activities, while contributing to an environmentally friendly approach.

Take Advantage of the Carpool Bonus

Since January 1, 2023, the government has been encouraging drivers to carpool on a daily basis by offering a €100 carpooling incentive. This initiative is particularly beneficial for students at Grasse Campus, who can thereby reduce their commuting costs while helping to protect the environment.

How Do I Get the Carpool Bonus?

To qualify for this bonus, simply complete 10 rides as a driver over a 3-month period. Use the BlaBlaCar Daily app to organize your rides. Once you’ve completed these 10 rides, you’ll receive the €100 directly into your app balance within 90 days.
